Learning Management Systems

Everything in one place: Organizing and administering training

Digital learning needs organization. When hundreds of trainees with different abilities go through training, good learning management is key to achieving learning goals. Data from the learning solutions is compiled in a central location, and systematic learning management ensures the information flow between the trainer and the trainee and facilitates the control of individual training progress.

Managing Training

Learning Management Systems (LMS)

The basic functionalities in learning management systems (LMS) are the management of users and their rights in the learning environment, as well as learning content and courses. Communication tools and document libraries are also available and the data for client programs is provided at a central location. In addition to the adaptation and further development of open source systems, benntec has also developed their own learning management system.

We would be happy to advise you on which learning management system, with which functionalities, is best suited to your needs, as well as develop and operate the right platform for you.

eTCM – the benntec-LMS

The eTCM system (electronic training and course management system) is a training management system developed by benntec, tailor-made to our clients' specific requirements. The eTCM system essentially consists of three functional areas: learning program management, student management and course management. A further function of the eTCM is lecture support, where instructors can select individual media from the learning programs (for example, pictures, animations, videos) and compile them for lectures.

In addition, eTCM provides an interface to the course management function, allowing for data exchange with other systems - for example, a full-mission simulator.

ILIAS

ILIAS stands for “Integriertes Lern-, Informations- und Arbeitskooperations-System”, or Integrated Learning, Information and Work-Collaboration System.

ILIAS (Open Source System) is based on the concept of a library, and enables the provision of learning and working materials across all areas of the platform. Content can also be accessed by non-registered users. A shop system for the marketing of learning content is also possible.

moodle

Moodle stands for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment. In contrast to ILIAS, Moodle can be described as course-oriented. Virtual classrooms are available, in which the respective teaching materials can be retrieved. Moodle is also an open source system.

A good learning management system is the best service for effective training and learning. If the LMS is user-friendly, acceptance for digital learning increases. benntec combines successful training technology with efficient learning management: tailor-made and from a single source.
