• Creation of system concepts and specifications
• Solutions for aircraft navigation and control tasks
• Define interfaces for clients and subcontractors
• Creation of software packages for Windows and Unix operating systems
• Design and implementation of graphical user interfaces according to software-ergonomic aspects (especially with Qt and MFC)
• Setup, debugging, testing and development of existing software
• Software setup and testing to production maturity
• Project management and creation of documentation in military projects according to the V model or DO178

• University degree in computer science
• Object-oriented software development methods (OOA, OOD, OOP)
• Skills in modern software development using tools (e.g. UML, C++, Python, INNOVATOR, Cantata, DOORS, …)
• Inter-process communication using CORBA, sockets, shared memory, named pipes
• IT security: measures for protecting the operating system from unauthorized access
• Competence to bring a comprehensive range of functionalities in distributed software systems to production maturity
• Proven knowledge in the implementation and porting of software under Windows (2000, XP) and Linux
• Good spoken and written English skills
• Willingness to travel
